Volunteer Opportunity Details: |

Tutor one or more of the male students in our life-recovery program. Help is usually needed with some combination of Math, English, GED, Computer Skills, ESL and Literacy. The minimum commitment is one hour a week for three months. Dates and times are flexible, even week-to-week.
Applicants must be fluent in English and at least a high school graduate.

| The major cross streets are Delancey to the south and Houston to the north. To reach The Bowery Mission by subway, take the #6 train to Spring Street or the N or R to Prince Street. Then walk several blocks east until you reach the Bowery. The Mission is located several hundred yards to the left and across the street if arriving via Spring St. (to the right and across the street if arriving via Prince St.). It's a red brick building with metal doors. Because parking is limited, we advise that you take public transportation. If you choose to drive, there is a paid parking lot up near Houston and Bowery.
