Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Hudson Guild, a provider of programs and services to members of the Chelsea community, is seeking volunteers for the Citymeals-on-Wheels Friendly Visiting effort. We are interested in dedicated, empathetic individuals looking to have a meaningful impact on someone’s life, and who are willing to make at least a 6-month commitment.

The purpose of the program is to offer companionship to the homebound elderly. You would meet with your senior regularly, spending time however you please: going for a walk, meeting over a cup of coffee, taking in a movie, or simply sharing stories in their home. This is a worthwhile opportunity to brighten the lives of seniors who unfortunately suffer through loneliness and solitude.
