Join us to help care for one of Brooklyn's oldest cemeteries. Community groups are needed to help maintain a piece of Brooklyn's history at the Old New Utrecht Cemetery. Friends of Historic New Utrecht is now taking reservations from groups interested cemetery clean up days. Groups will be needed beginning in April and sessions can be scheduled around your group's availability. Volunteers will prune trees, bag debris, mow grass, and cut down weeds. Youth groups should be high school age and above. Ideal group size, including adults is 10 people. Individual volunteers are also welcome. Individual volunteers are also welcome.

We require individual volunteers to be over 18 years old. Younger people may volunteer if they are accompanied by a parent. Supervised high school groups, boy/girl scout groups, and other community youth groups are always welcome. Corporate or service clubs are especially invited to participate. An interest in the history of southern Brooklyn is helpful. Tools and training will be provided. Come ready to help one of the oldest cemeteries in your community.
