Volunteer Opportunity Details: |
|
With nearly 29,000 acres of New York City parkland across the five boroughs, there's enough for all of us to enjoy. There are also plenty of ways to get involved, and it's easy to find out how.
You can join a local community group or start your own to help care for your neighborhood park. If you are interested in this, please visit http://www.partnershipsforparks.org/contact_us/directory.html and contact the Outreach Coordinator near you, or call (212) 360-1310.
There are also many opportunities to get connected to local volunteer groups in parks throughout the City. To learn more about these groups, one-time volunteer opportunities, free events, and much more, sign up for our monthly volunteer e-blast, at http://www.partnershipsforparks.org/get_involved/volunteer/index.html
Partnerships for Parks can also help you to set up one-time service projects to beautify New York City parks for groups of 10 or more. To organize a project for your business or corporation, please contact Leah Worrell at Leah.Worrell@parks.nyc.gov or call (212) 360-8156. If you would like to volunteer in New York City parks with a group from your non-profit organization, school, alumni group, or religious organization, please contact Beth Golub at Beth.Golub@parks.nyc.gov or call (212) 360-3464.
Please note youth must be supervised.

Volunteering for the NYC Parks was my first volunteer experience as a child, my children and now my grandchild. Voluntering outdoors is an excellent way to introduce our children to volunteerism, taking care of our environment and respect for others. Greatest experience, together we make a difference!
