Volunteer Opportunity Details: |

The New York Botanical Garden has several volunteer opportunities available. Friendly people are needed at our naturally beautiful setting to: assist in various public program, community, and special events including our Bronx Day and Compost Give-Back events; provide customer service and perform clerical duties; and help children discover the world of plants, nature, and the environment in our children's education department. We are also currently recruiting for the following events:
Compost Give Back Event (June 11-12) - a weekend dedicated to the importance of composting in our communities. Volunteers needed to work the Information Table, check IDs, truck registration, direct traffic/parking, sign out equipment, supervise compost pile, help load compost into vehicles. We will provide rest area, water, lunch, t-shirts & hats.
Bronx Day (June 18)- an afternoon of fun events, exhibitions, and entertainment for our Bronx neighbors. Volunteers needed to serve popcorn, ices, cotton candy, monitor lines for face-painting and air castle. Hours needed: 10:15 a.m.-3 p.m.
