Taproot Foundation invites you to apply for a volunteer position to provide pro bono services to NYC Nonprofits.

The Taproot Foundation is an award-winning social enterprise that builds and manages teams of professionals to work on projects for worthy nonprofits in our community. The Taproot Foundation sets you up for success by carefully screening our nonprofit grantees, accepting only the best volunteers, and providing professional project management.

The software/web developer is responsible for coding our website Service Grants. The software/web developer will work as part of the team to translate business requirements into technical requirements and implement the project.

A successful software/web developer has three or more years of experience including standard web development background:

• DHTML, CGI, VbScript, ASP, PHP, JSP, SQL (database connectivity), and basic web server administration.
• Familiarity with Internet protocols, procedures (FTP, Telnet, etc.), and version control software (VSS)
