Volunteer Opportunity Details: |

If you love history and enjoy people, please consider becoming a tour guide at the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum and Garden. We need tour guides to give tours of our beautiful historic house museum. We will provide training. As a benefit, volunteers receive a museum i.d. card that gives free admission to most area museums. Volunteers also get to attend most museum events for free. We also host events throughout the year to honor and recognize our volunteers.
Hours of Operation:
Monday: closed
Tues - Sun: 11am-4pm
Tues until 9pm in June and July
Volunteers must attend training sessions, where they will be given information on the history of the museum and the artifacts in the Museum's period rooms. Volunteers should be able to walk up stairs and stand for periods of time.
